This Saturday we stepped out to Lily's cousins' second birthday party. What is cuter than 2 year old twins!?

After we put Lily to bed I realized I had zero pictures with me in them, so I ran outside to catch the dying light with my trusty iPhone self-timer. Please excuse the iPhoneness of these pics.

Steppin Out Saturday: March for Babies!

Saturday we stepped out to the March for Babies in Tacoma. The weather was beautiful and the company was even better.

The afternoon consisted of much needed pedicures with my sister and a BBQ with friends. It was a big day for the little miss and she was worn out!

The day ended with a relaxing bath for Mama and a good night sleep for all. I hope you are having a wonderful day celebrating all the mothers in your life. I'm off to enjoy this beautiful day!

 

Steppin Out Saturday: Birthday Preview!

Saturday we made everyone else step out to our house for Lily's 2nd birthday. She had so much fun, the day could not have been better, but that is a post for another day.

Steppin Out Saturday: I'm Still 29!!

I don't officially turn the big 3-0 until Thursday, but this last Saturday night I got to celebrate early with my friends.

We took over a room at the Lunchbox Laboratory downtown. There were big burgers, mini corndogs, cupcakes, and lots of drinks (not for me). I had such a great time and it was wonderful to see my amazing friends and feel so very very loved.

There is a bonus if you can find the super flattering shot of me eating my burger. I'm such a lady.

Steppin Out Saturday: March 31, 2012

Thursday was the 10th anniversary of Ryan and my first date! Saturday my parents offered to watch Miss Peanut while Ryan and I stepped out to celebrate. We were of course super fancy and went to see The Hunger Games (yes it was my second time and yes my sister and I are taking my mom to see it on Tuesday. Don't judge.). After the movie we hit up some delicious Thai for linner (dunch?) and then headed home to our cute kid.

We had a great time and I am so thankful to my parents for not only offering, but actually wanting to take care of Lily so we could have a date.

I would play an April Fools joke here, but I just hate playing jokes on people, it makes me feel sad. The only joke I ever play on Ryan is: "I'm Pregnant! Just kidding!" but I can't do that this year...

This Saturday I met up for dinner with a bunch of hilarious women. Some I had met before and some I was meeting for the first time. I am stealing all pictures as I was the only one without a fancy-pants camera. For now here are a few from the camera of the lovely Emily.

Steppin' Out Saturday: December 17, 2011

I actually stepped out this weekend! One of my favorite people turned 30 and we hit the town to celebrate. I even stayed up past 11, that is saying something.

It was so nice to feel like more than just a mom for a few hours. I needed that.

This weekend we stepped out to... our house! 

One of my only other friends with a baby lives in AZ (why cruel world!?) and she was in town so we had a little get together with some of our friends. Another friend brought her little girl to complete the tiny baby party of three. I was planning to go out in Seattle later in the evening (a real "Steppin' Out"), but I totally went to bed instead. I hate backing out on plans, but I have never been so happy to slip under the covers. It has been a rough few weeks with a sick teething kiddo. Plus, they weren't even meeting until 10:00! That is like the middle of the night.
