Eleventy Billion

I actually already did this once a few months back, but when Amy tagged me I figured I better do it again or else we would have to have some sort of pregnant lady dance-off... which would be awesome. But alas my desire to talk about myself wins out once again. Curse you self-esteem!

Here are the rules:
1.  post these rules.
2.  post a photo of yourself & 11 random facts about you.
3.  answer the questions given to you in the tagger's post.
4.  create 11 new questions & tag new people to answer them.
5.  go to their blog/twitter & let them know they've been tagged.

Random facts about me:
1.  I use to be able to stick a penny in my belly button. Want to be friends?

2.  I unconsciously think that inanimate objects have feelings. Like I feel bad for the bowls at the bottom of the stack in the cupboard. The ones on top get used and then washed and put back on top, but the ones on bottom never get used. That isn't right.

3.  One of my favorite desserts is "astronaut ice cream". You know, the dehydrated ice cream they sell at REI? Neapolitan only please.

4.  I ran my first half marathon 3 months before I got pregnant with Lily, now I can barely walk up the stairs without getting winded. This does not bode well for my Big Climb.

5.  I may have said this before, but when I was younger my concept of time was based on the TV show Full House. If something was going to take one hour, I knew that was like two episodes of Full House. It works.

6.  I don't like watching scary movies, but I like knowing what happens so I read the movie plots on-line.

7.  I have a Kitchen Aid mixer named Molly Weasley, because of her ability to whip things as if by magic.

8.  I still have every pair of pointe shoes I ever wore. In college my friends would put them on and pretend to be ballerinas. Totally sober.

9.  I can't eat meat if it is still in the shape of the animal it came from.

10.  I only use like 4 fingers to type.

11.  The only thing holding me back from doing a triathlon is that I haven't ridden a bike in sooooooo long and it kinda makes me nervous. I know what you are going to say, it's just like riding a bike…leave me alone.

Questions from Amy:
1.  what is one thing you're working on to change/better about yourself? I want to de-clutter and organize my house. It drives me crazy that we have so much stuff. I just need an extra day in the week with no cute kid distractions to really dive into it all. I would also like to decorate my house so it is more like a home. Damn you Pinterest for making my walls look so bare.

2.  what is your dream car? Anything that runs. My standards have been significantly lowered by the fact that we only have one car and two would make life a lot easier.

3.  if you could have one talent you don't already have, what would it be? I would love to be able to really REALLY sing. I am not tone deaf or anything (no comments please), but to be able to just belt it out like Adele must feel so good.

4.  what is your favorite part of the day? I really like naptime because I can sit around watching TV and eating chocolate be productive. Also, when I go in to get Lily up in the morning, she is so happy and I get lots of hugs.

5.  what is your favorite day of the week? Friday because there is so much possibility in the weekend ahead.

6.  what did you want to be when you were a little kid? A dancer/singer/actress (unfortunately I was more like triple-only-slightly-threatening). My best friend wanted to be a garbage man! That is a better answer, just pretend that was me.

7.  what's your favorite physical feature about yourself? Hmm, this is hard to answer while pregnant and feeling bloaty. I like my eyes, oh and also my calves (is that weird?).

8.  what would you love your kids/future kids to grow up to be professionally some day? Something that they absolutely love, and hopefully doesn't have them living in my (non-existent) basement eating only ramen noodles and tuna with a spork (due to inability to purchase both spoon and fork).

9.  what is a pet peeve of yours? I have said the windshield wiper thing before, but that one is for real. Do NOT let those wipers squeak or I will take it upon myself to punch you, or turn them off, whichever seems safer at the time.

10.  what would your husband/significant other/best friend say is their favorite thing about you? They would probably have to think about it for a long time because they just love so many things about me. Right guys? Hmmm, maybe that I’m so humble and modest. JK! I guess I am very loyal. I would hope they know that they can always count on me to have their back in any situation.

11.  what is your dream vacation? To live my honeymoon all over again. Grand Hyatt Resort in Kauai. Drinking in the sun all day with not a care in the world... and my pre-baby stomach.

{Oh pre-baby stomach, I never truly appreciated you. Now I will go put on some pregnancy spanks and cry.}

Questions for YOU (I'm tagging anyone who has not done this yet and wants to talk incessantly about themself! Lazy... or accommodating? You decide.):

1.  If you could only shop one place for the rest of your life, where would it be?
2.  What do you do to de-stress? Yoga? Wine? Wall punching?
3.  What is the first lie you ever remember telling?
4.  If you had to listen to one sound for the rest of your life, what would you choose?
5.  Your house is on fire and you can only grab 3 things (all humans and pets are safely outside), what do you take?
6.  Would you ever wear pink jeans? How about pink maternity jeans? (No I'm not asking because I am wearing them right now...)
7.  Would you ever consider plastic surgery, if so, what would you do?
8.  What is something your kid/significant other/best friend does that drives you crazy?
9.  What is the best meal that you can cook?
10.  Who was your first best friend?
11.  If you could go back in time and change one decision in your life, what would it be?

Leave me a comment if you answer these questions so I can come look! Or just answer them in the comments, either way I get to spy on you.

  2. I have never met anyone who let's windshield wipers squeaking annoy them as much as me. I HATE IT! We're meant to be friends.

  3. Oh my gosh! When anyone ever asks me, "what is your favorite feature" I ALWAYS answer my calves. I truly like them ... The are 'fit' well, as fit as calves can be :) ... I enjoyed getting to know you through these questions and have enjoyed reading your blog!

  5. That is hilarious! I've actually said it to a friend when she asked me that very question, first she looked at me like I was crazy, then she looked at my calves and shrugged "actually, they are pretty nice!" Ha! We have to take it where we can :)

  6. First of all, you are hilarious. Your pre-baby belly is hot. The other day I rearranged the bowls in the cupboard because I too...felt bad that the bottom one hadn't been used in a while. I thought something was wrong with me! Here are my crazy answers: http://www.pecklife.com/blog/2012/03/blah-blah11-thingsblah-blah.html
