Steppin Out Saturday: October 29, 2011

This Saturday we stepped out to Lily's first Halloween party!

{On Chelsea: Polar Bear// On Ryan: M&M// On Lily: Dorothy of course!}

 {Getting her hair did by Nani. Please ignore the blur.}

 {Curly girl.}

 {Taking after her mama.}

 {Baby Bowling! No, we didn't roll her down the lane... she did that herself.}

{I know I am biased, but come on! How cute is that?}

Lily had such a great time with all the kids. She was a little shy at first and wary of all the costumed adults, but soon enough she was running, screaming and dancing along with everyone else. We need to get together with our friends that have kids more often, watching them interact is like a hilarious sociological experiment.

It took Lily about an hour to get use to my costume. She kept looking at me and then pointing at her nose like she was trying to let me know there was something on my face. At least I know she's got my back if I ever have spinach in my teeth.

Happy Halloween!

Things I Love

Now that Lily is healthy again Mom and Dad are just trying to catch up on all the lost sleep. Since I am a zombified version of myself I will just leave you with some links I love.

Are you a Nerdfighter? Watch this intro video into a youtube channel that I adore. It may take you forever, but you should probably just watch every video from the very beginning. So much wonderful nerdiness.

Also, read ALL of John's books.

This may actually be written by Suri Cruise.

If anyone sees a DVD of this movie, will you please send it to me?

Also, please buy me these in red. Just kidding, sort of.

This post about trying to use a nursing cover made me stand up and cheer, I feel your pain!

If you are a closeted curly girl, you should go read this. Though I'm not sure I'm really ready to give up my straightener...

The new book I'm reading makes me swoon (and I don't even like to use that word). If you want, read this first. They aren't a series but there is some character overlap, plus it will make you all tingly and love drunk. Cute boys... and kissing!

And finally I leave you with this:

You. Are. Welcome.

Wordless{ish} Wednesday: A Message from Lily

{I'm feeling so much better! I have returned to my crazy happy self. There has been much dancing involving lots of flapping chicken wings, booty shakes, and a few side kicks. Thanks for all the well wishes!}

{I'm reading a new book, go look ------------->}

True Confessions Tuesday: Snack Pack

True Confessions, these are for me:

I share with Lily... sometimes.

A few years ago Ryan was buying groceries and someone asked him if his baby liked the yogurt melts. Instead of explaining that they were actually for his 26-year-old wife he just politely replied "yes, she loves them." Now at least I have a valid excuse for buying them. I promise that isn't the {only} reason we had a kid.

Yum.

True Confessions Tuesday is the day when I write about something (possibly random but definitely true) in the hopes one day my daughter will learn something new and silly about me. If you want to join me and write your own just grab the button below and leave a comment so we can all come read your True Confession.

Steppin Out Saturday: October 22, 2011

Yesterday Ryan and I belatedly celebrated his birthday while my wonderful parents spent time with the Peanut. We stepped out to the Red Hook Brewery in Woodinville where I forced Ryan to partake in a photo shoot.

{Scarf: Express// Sweater, Jeans & Boots: Urban Outfitters// Tank: H&M// Jewelry: Nordstrom}

Blue Steel. {Sweater: Eddie Bauer// Shirt: Urban Outfitters// Pants: Gap}

If you have never been {or even if you have} you should definitely go check it out. We took the tour for only $1, got to taste a bunch of yummy beers and keep the glasses {they are MINI so I love them}.

Lily is slowly recovering from The Plague, thank you for all of the well wishes! She will never again be allowed to interact with the general public.

{Now I can be embarrassed when I take forever to read a book. Oh and also if you have read or decide to read the same books then we can discuss! Like a book club but without the wine.}

**A couple people have mentioned to me that they cannot see the link to leave comments at the bottom of my posts, but I know it works for some because people are leaving comments. If you wouldn't mind, please email me at chelsea@thecurlycues.com and let me know if you are unable to comment. I am not sure what is wrong, but I would love to fix it!**
